Charalampos Giannikopoulos is the founder of DCarbon, a consultancy firm whose goal is to provide top-quality sustainability analysis and strengthen existing values in the real-estate sector through the seamless integration of sustainable development tools, climate-responsive and resilience policies as well as green advocacy strategies.

Charalampos has extensive experience in participating in multi-disciplinary teams on major international projects including the “Masdar City” sustainable masterplan in Abu Dhabi. As of today, Charalampos has been involved in prominent commercial, industrial, hospitality and educational projects in the region. Implementation of the most robust

world-class rating systems, dynamic energy modeling, life- cycle analysis and construction environmental management plans as well as green advocacy programs are among DCarbon’s activities. Charalampos through DCarbon has been involved up to date in the vast majority of the projects pursuing LEED in Greece, besides other international rating

systems such as WELL and SITES.

In a personal capacity, Charalampos is a member of the Technical Advisory Group of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a USGBC Faculty, participates in the LEED International Roundtable, is a USGBC Pro Reviewer, a LEED AP with multiple specialties and a WELL AP accredited by the GBCI, a BREEAM International New Construction and In-USe

Assessor, an Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional accredited by the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council, a DGNB Consultant accredited by the German Sustainable Building Council and an EDGE Expert accredited by the IFC.
